Mandy Krueger

Mandy took her first yoga class in college nearly a decade ago, contemplatively she has been stumbling on to the mat ever since. In 2002, during a three-month Hatha yoga teacher training in southern Thailand, including Iyengar therapeutics, and yoga philosophy she immersed herself deeper into the vast ocean of yoga. In Thailand she taught yoga at a small resort, and took up a six month long study of Thai massage. Upon returning from Southeast Asia she further deepened her practice under the guidance and instruction of Timo Jimenez. In 2004 Mandy ventured to India to study Ayurveda and inquire into the originating lands of the ancient system of yoga. India revealed more than just the study of these awakening traditions, and has played an integral role in her development. Mandy has continued to study with various senior teachers, which complements the ultimate teacher found within the wisdom of the heart. She is inspired by the work of Peter Sterios, has studied with Ramanand Patel, Rudra Devi, Tias Little, Kristen Laak, and is interested in the integration, sustainability and preservation of eastern practices to support western life. Mandy believes that within a devoted yoga practice, clarity is being sought, not perfection, and in practice we find moments of wholeness, and in wholeness we find life. She strives to bring this into her teaching both playfully and earnestly.

Mandy is also a practicing licensed massage therapist at Bloom Natural Healthcare in Portland. Her knowledge of both physiology/anatomy and esoteric anatomy including the principles of Ayurveda enhances her teaching capacity.
